Commissions and Boards

The City of Evans offers several opportunities for residents to get involved in the governing process. Four volunteer boards and commissions - Planning Commission, Parks & Recreation Advisory Board, Water and Sewer Board and the Zoning Board of Appeals - offer residents chances to apply their unique knowledge, skills and abilities to make their community a better place. While the boards and commissions differ in their respective scope and area of responsibilities, all serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council to review various proposals and plans in thorough details to and provide recommendations the the City's governing body. 

City of Evans is currently seeking applications for a Citizens Ad-Hoc Committee to evaluate options for potential mill levy adjustment. 

Evans Mayor Mark Clark and the City Council are forming a Citizens Ad-Hoc Committee to work alongside City Council to evaluate options for an adjustment to the City’s property tax – formally known as a mill levy. Evans residents are encouraged to apply by completing the form online using the links below or dropping off a completed paper copy to the City’s Customer Service windows at the Evans Community Complex during normal business hours. Citizen engagement is critical for the proper evaluation of this important issue and participation is greatly appreciated. Applications are due by close of business on February 7, 2025.
