Evans Storefront Improvement Program
The Evans Storefront Improvement Program encourages property owners and business owners to invest in exterior updates to commercial properties in the City of Evans. Revitalizing building facades is key to enhancing the visual appearance of the community and attracting new business.
The program will reimburse up to $5,000 per property for improvements. This can include signage, painting, window/door replacement, landscaping, lighting, and more. The program is a cost-share arrangement, where the City reimburses the business 40% of the project cost once complete. If the work is completed by an Evans-based contractor, the reimbursement rises to 60% of the project cost.
As of 2022, existing small restaurant operators to install grease traps or grease interceptors, as required by a new Commercial Wastewater Pretreatment Program. For more information about the new wastewater requirements, please contact our office.
Eligible businesses are storefront commercial businesses and/or property owners that generate sales, use and/or property tax. Both the applicant and any contractors performing work must be licensed with the City of Evans. Tenants shall have at least two (2) years remaining on their lease or an option to renew and have the owner’s permission to make the proposed improvements.
