The Building Department staff assures the public's health, safety, and welfare in the City's building environments while facilitating construction and development. We accomplish that through:

  • Maintaining building codes and ordinances
  • Properly interpreting the City's building codes
  • Conducting thorough plan reviews
  • Inspecting new building construction and renovation
  • Building safety is supported by licensing all businesses and general contractors that work within the city

Current adopted code: 2018 I-Codes with amendments, 2012 International Energy Code, 2020 National Electrical Code.
