Trash and Recycling FAQ

If you are a resident to the City and need to setup trash and recycling services, please contact the City of Evans Customer service at 970-475-1170.

Residents will be provided the use of a 96 gallon rolling polycart. All your household waste MUST be contained inside the polycart provided. If you would like an additional trash polycart or recycle service and polycart, please contact the City of Evans at 970-475-1170. Any bags or bulk items left outside of the polycart will not be removed every Tuesday (weekly pickup) unless prior arrangements are made for bulk pickup with Waste Management directly.

Trash removal occurs weekly on Tuesday, your designated service day. Polycarts must be at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day and must be away from parked vehicles. Residents with alley stops must have polycart ouside of enclosures, accessible by the automated truck.

Curbside recycling is available to residents of the City at an additional fee. Waste Management will provide a recycle bin to fill with newspaper, aluminum, steel cans, glass and plastic containers. Place the recycle bin next to your polycart and a recycle truck will remove your recyclables.

Residents have the option to utilize a 96-gallon wheeled recycling Tote. The cost to utilize the Tote is $9.11 per month, please contact the City of Evans at 970-475-1170 to request recycle tote service. Again, if you have questions or would like to begin recycling, please call 970-475-1170.

Recycle service is provided every-other week on your normal trash day which is Tuesday. Service week do vary, contact the City of Evans at 970-475-1170 to verify what week your service day is on.

The following holidays are observed:

- New Year's Day - Memorial Day - July 4th - Labor Day - Thanksgiving Day - Christmas Day

You may experience a one-day delay in your service during these holiday weeks.

If you need an additional trash polycart, contact the City of Evans. A $6.47 per month fee will be charged for each additional trash polycart.

Please clean and rinse all recyclables. Please make sure all items fit and are placed in the recycle container provided.
