The Parks Maintenance Division is responsible for the following service areas.

PARKS: Maintain all city Parks and Rights of Ways. These operations include mowing, trimming, irrigation, installation of signage and the maintenance and installation of playground equipment. The city’s 11 parks encompasses approximately 220 acres of land, including two new parks in the Tuscany subdivision. The City was on the leading edge in developing Freedom Park a park specifically for dogs which we are proud to say was built “in house.”

FORESTRY: Insure that the City-owned trees are healthy and maintained at all times. Actions include pruning, trimming, spraying and removal.

CEMETERY MAINTENANCE: Burials, maintenance of grounds to include irrigation systems, roadways, signage and foliage.

City Park is Evans’ oldest park and it offers a variety of uses, including a large picnic pavilion, two barbecues, a playground, basketball court, small softball field, horseshoe pits, picnic areas, restrooms and shade provided by many large, mature trees.

Riverside Park
This park features a 7-acre fishing lake, over two miles of scenic trails, fishing docks, four ball fields (two lighted and two unlighted), a spacious playground area, a picnic pavilion, basketball court, pickball court, restrooms and many acres of undeveloped open space along the South Platte River. Alcohol is strictly prohibited in the athletic fields.

Village Park
This park offers two lighted tennis courts, playground area, pavilion, picnic tables, basketball court, sand volleyball, restrooms and a flat open turf area.

Driftwood Park
Driftwood offers a climbing wall, a large playground structure, walking paths, a picnic pavilion, and a basketball half-court.

Vineyard Park
This park offers 5 acres of open space and landscaping, walking trails and two playgrounds, all surrounding a scenic pond.

Freedom Park (Off-Leash Dog Park)
At this park, there are separate spaces available for large dogs, small/timid dogs and an agility training area.

This undeveloped open space area has a few acres of open turf so it's a great place to play a game of football or kick a soccer ball.
