To prevent injury to persons and damage to underground utilities from excavation activities, Colorado State law requires that anyone digging in the ground call to have utilities located. The Utility Notification Center of Colorado (UNCC) has been established to help protect the people who dig and any underground utilities. If you plan on digging anywhere in the City of Evans,call UNCC at 1-800-922-1987 or simply dial 811 to have your utilities located. Please plan in advance as utility locate requests cannot always be accomplished in short turnaround times. Per Colorado 811 “the minimum time frame is 48 hours, not including the date of request." Please call Colorado 811 well before commencing work to ensure that utility lines can be located for your safety.
