How to get involved

Evans is your city, your town, and your community. You shape the direction of your schools, businesses, and infrastructure, and the best way for your voice to be heard is to participate.

There are many ways to make an impact in your City:

- Attend City Council Meetings. They're held every other Tuesday of each month, but always check the city calendar to ensure they have not been rescheduled. Work sessions begin at 6pm, followed by the Council Meeting at 7pm. Residents are encouraged to attend, and if you'd like to speak to council about an issue, that's great! Contact our City Clerk by email or phone 970-475-1104 to get on the Council agenda.

- Attend a Planning Commission meeting. The City's Planning Commission is a crucial committee that recommends the direction of planning and zoning issues within the community. They typically meet every third Tuesday of each month, but always check the city calendar to ensure they have not been rescheduled.

- Attend a Town Hall Meeting. Town hall meetings are not regularly scheduled events, but we do our best to notify the public when one is scheduled. Be sure to follow the city on its multiple social media platforms so that you can stay in the loop when Town Hall Meetings are scheduled. Also, keep an eye out for notifications in your mailbox.

- Schedule a meeting with a City Leader or Council Member. Simply emailinfo@evanscolorado.gov"> info@evanscolorado.gov or call 970-475-1170.
